World Geography

Through videos, text, audio, and Google Earth technology, World Geography entices students into the world of geography by bringing various global locations to life through interactive multi-media experiences. Students analyze the global impact of specific events around the world through the "Thinking Globally" modules, and the "Exploring Careers" sections expose students to possible jobs related to geography.

World Geography 1A provides students a comprehensive look at the geographical composition of the world, while integrating the other threads of the social sciences. The five themes of geography build a foundation for understanding the locations students will visit throughout the course, including Europe and the Americas. Students learn how to analyze a civilization's culture, economy, government, and demography.
