Class.com Users Group
The Class.com Users Group (CCUG) was created to provide a forum for the community of educational users of Class.com products. Membership is granted to those teachers, administrators, and technical staff who work with Class.com courses and products and who wish to join. CCUG has instituted privacy and appropriate use guidelines in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and a positive online experience. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for CCUG and sets forth appropriate use guidelines.
To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the CCUG web site, members are issued a username and password. If, at any time, a member feels that that username and password have been compromised, the member should inform the CCUG, who will reset it in a timely manner. CCUG's public areas may be browsed anonymously. Contact information (in databases and on other web pages) on the CCUG web site is provided for the sole and express purpose of improving members' use of Class.com products and for facilitating communication between members. Unauthorized copying or redistribution of information found anywhere on this site or use of information found anywhere on this site for recruiting or direct marketing purposes is strictly prohibited and will result in suspension of CCUG membership.
When you connect to CCUG, our logs create an entry containing information about your IP address, Internet Service Provider or other means that you have used to access our website and its pages, as well as information about your browser and the time and date of access. We may use this information to try to improve the content of our website. We may also use this information to solve problems related to connections or viewing of our pages. But the entries contained in our access logs can never give us information about you as an individual.
When you log in to CCUG, you are identified as an individual associated with your unique account. This creates a cookie that identifies you as a user on that machine. We use cookies to save your login information so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit CCUG. Logging out each time you leave CCUG will remove that login information.
When we create your CCUG account, we enter your name, e-mail address, and school. We receive this information either from you or from your school, and you can choose to opt out of membership at any time. You can add, remove, or edit personal information by clicking the Your Account link after logging into CCUG, and clicking the Change Your Info button. Users with password authorization can change their password and other personal information by completing the Web form found by logging into the members only Web site and clicking on the Change My Password button. You are also, by default, subscribed to the CCUG mailing list. We will use this list from time to time in order to send you e-mail about CCUG and other Class.com events or products of interest. We do not provide this information to any third party. If you wish to unsubscribe from this list, click the Your Account link after logging into CCUG and click the Change Your Info button. Set "Receive Newsletter by Email?" to No.
