Technical Overview

"Class.com provides comprehensive curriculum options for online education. After a thorough review of options, we at Adams County School District 14, selected Class.com because it meets Colorado content standards, addresses multiple learning styles and modalities, uses online video, text presentation, two-way communication, testing, and audio."
Dr. Lorenzo Trujillo Adams County 14 Commerce City, CO
"Our leadership team at Plano ISD spent a considerable amount of time looking for partners who could 'digitize' our current curriculum quickly or who offered a pre-designed comprehensive course schedule. Our selection of class.com has provided us with well-designed, comprehensive courses that meet our state and local standards, while Blackboard provides us the tool to allow our eSchool faculty to easily and efficiently move our own curriculum to an online venue."

Educators at the forefront of school improvement have discovered that the adoption of electronic curriculum can become a powerful change mechanism providing a better education for many students.
The keys to success lie in empowering individualized instruction, providing sophisticated standards-based curriculum solutions drawn from scientifically-based research, and making available open-standards teaching and learning tools.
Research-based Curriculum
Class.com's instructional design embeds and encourages collaborative learning throughout the curriculum. Class.com content also includes a variety of embedded assessments, including both objective and subjective exercises and activities. Computer-scored activities provide immediate feedback; online teachers provide feedback, assistance, and guidance.
LMS Delivery
Class.com courseware runs on industry standard LMS platforms. These provide substantially more functionality, security, and redundancy than the use of a proprietary, non-standard platform developed to run only a specific type of content from a specific vendor. Because the Class.com courses use LMS technology, the courses can be modified or customized for a variety of learner needs. Class.com courseware can be offered via an Internet ASP model or self-hosted within the district's existing network topology, with either option offering documented uptimes over 99.9%.
