Art History

High School Art History Students are guided through history and culture to explore the visual arts and their impact on society. They are exposed to the mediums and elements of art and the styles of painting developed and used at various times in history. Through this exposure, students receive a well-rounded introduction to great artists, works they created, and how their work reflected upon or influenced society at-large. Who are the masters and what are their works? What are the elements of visual art? What images influenced and moved societies? What are impressionism, cubism, and realism? Art is an international language bringing together peoples from all over the world. Students enrolled in Art History establish a foundation for life-long art appreciation.
