Class: Chatting with Users Connecting with Zoom

Issue:

Using the chat function within Zoom does not generate messages in the Class chat at the moment. As a teacher, you will only see the preview (Fig1) of the chats but they will not populate once you open the corresponding chat (Fig2).

Students in Zoom will not receive a chat from their teacher in Class either.

Workaround:

We strongly recommend that students join using the Class app.

However, if a student must join from Zoom, then it is recommended that they utilize the “Click here to join your Class!” link. This will also allow the student to properly participate in all the other Class activities, including Chat.
