Attendance

Last updated: August 3, 2023.

1.

Attendance is automatically taken as learners enter their classrooms. Their time is recorded from when they enter and leave. To view attendance, log in to the Class app. Select a class that you have created.

2.

Once inside the class, the instructor selects the icon labeled Class Mgmt. Once selected, the Attendance icon appears along with other tools. Select Attendance.

Once Attendance is selected, a new window will open. This window will show each learner in the class and their attendance that day. The instructor will be able to view the total number of absentees and if learners were on time or tardy. A learner is considered tardy 5 minutes after the start time.

You also have the option to download attendance. Select the Download button and save to a folder on your device.

4.

To view a cumulative report of a given learners’ attendance record, select View Report.

5.

To download the attendance report for a session, select Download. A dialog will appear where the instructor can rename and save the file.

  • If a learner does not join the class within the time window of the class session, they will marked absent.
  • A learner will be marked as present and not tardy if they join in the first 5 minutes.
  • A learner will be marked as present and tardy if they join after the first 5 minutes.
  • A learner will be marked as absent if they join more than 15 minutes after the start of the class session.

2.

An instructor has the option to manually mark a learner as not tardy. Select the Edit Pencil next to the learners name.

3.

A window will pop up to edit the learners’ record. The instructor is able to toggle if the learner was present or not, tardy or not, and their time in and out.
