Please note that only the active speaker and shared screens are recorded. The classroom tab/gallery is not recorded.

Please note that the recording takes time to process. Please allow twice the time of the recording for processing.


To record a class, select the center Record button. Select Record on this Computer.

Note: If the instructor would like to include the screen sharing in the recording, ensure to save it to the cloud instead of locally.
Note: The Record to the Cloud option records to the instructor’s Zoom cloud location.


Use the pause and stop buttons as needed. These buttons are located in the top left corner of the classroom view.


The Class app will ask the instructor again where they would like to save their recordings. The instructor can select the option to choose a new location. Click Save when done.


The newly created recording file will be named by the date and time of the recording, saved to the file location the instructor chose or created, as shown below. For example, this recording took place on Feb 22nd, 2021 at 9 am (folder name: 2021-02-22 9.04.05 = date and time of the recording), and it was saved to the Class Recordings folder, which was created within the Documents folder.


To find the Class recordings, login to the instructor’s Zoom account at Select Recordings from the menu on the left. Select Cloud Recordings or Local Recordings to view the recorded sessions.
