To request remote control options, have a learner share their screen. Once they are sharing, the instructor will see a screen share tab. Select View Options and select Request Remote Control.

On Mac:

A pop-up window will give the instructor the option to request remote control of the learner’s screen or cancel.

If the learner declines, the instructor will receive a message saying to request again or cancel. Select request again.

The learner will get a pop-up on their shared screen that the instructor is requesting remote control of their screen. The instructor can regain control by hitting shift + S on the keyboard. Select approve.

The instructor will be able to control the screen of the leaner that approved and click around. The instructor has the option to stop remote control.

The learner has the option to stop remote control on their screen. They can also regain control with Shift + S.

7.

When the learner has stopped the remote control session, the instructor will get a notification on the bottom left of the screen.
