How to Launch via Zoom Browser Experience

Please note: For the best experience, users should download the Class app to join and participate in classes. If a user does not have the Class app downloaded, they can join through the Zoom app. It is not recommended to use the Zoom web interface to join a class that your instructor is running through Class. We understand that this may be the only way some learners can join the class experience.


When joining from a Class link, select Click here to launch your course in regular Zoom at the bottom of the page.


To launch Zoom in your Chrome Browser, select Cancel in case you do have the app downloaded.


Select Join from Your Browser.


Insert your name and then select Join. You can toggle your video and microphone before joining.


Once you are in the class, an automated message will be sent via the Chat showing that the instructor has sent a link for the sidebar.


Click the link in the chat and a separate sidebar will open.


Select Proceed to continue to the link.


The link will open the sidebar in a new browser tab. You have options for feedback and raise hand on the bottom of the sidebar.


Once verified, student tools will appear on the sidebar.


As activities get pushed out, you will see this populate to the right of the sidebar.


To leave the class, select Leave and then Leave Class.
