Join Your Class

Below is the workflow that users will follow to join Class for the first time via the web app.

You may join a Class using the web app in multiple ways.  One of the most common ways is by clicking an invite link your instructor shares.  After opening the web page, selecting the Launch Class for Web option will allow you to join your Class.

Another way you may be prompted to join a web app Class is via LTI through an LMS like Canvas or Blackboard.  After navigating to the Class LTI page in your LMS, click Launch Class for Web, which opens the web app for your scheduled Class.  You can also click Launch next to the scheduled session for your Class which will open another web page that allows you to launch the web app.

After clicking Launch Class for Web you will be prompted to enter your name, or you will be required to authenticate with Zoom.

 

Note: Learners joining from LTI will not be prompted to enter their name.

Clicking OK will take you to a Zoom login page where you will enter your credentials.

After successfully authenticating with Zoom, you will be prompted to add prepod-User App to your Zoom account.  Check the box to Allow this app to use my shared access permissions and click Allow.

After adding the prepod-User App to your Zoom account, you will be redirected to the web page you initially launched Class from.  Clicking Launch Class for Web will open your scheduled Class session.

Clicking Join on the subsequent page will open the main classroom, where you can interact with your instructor and other learners.

To leave class, learners will select Leave on the bottom left of the app. Then select Leave Class or Cancel to stay.
