When in a class, you are able to chat with your instructor and the whole class. Depending on the privacy settings that the instructor sets, you are also able to chat with other learners. Select Chat in the sidebar in order to chat with your class.

You can chat with everyone. Once your message is ready, hit Send. Selecting the back arrow will return you to the chat home.

Users can chat with each other during class. Selecting the name of the individual in the drop-down will take you to a private chat.
Changes in Class Version 2.15
The chat feature is now located on the Class Toolbar. Clicking the Chat button will open the new floating chat panel. By default, the panel will be under the podium.
Clicking the pop-out button will open a new Chat window that you can move freely.
