Version 2.5.8 — August 25, 2022


This release is part of a series of updates that will be made available on a weekly basis through August to ensure that you, your instructors and staff, and your learners have a successful fall with Class.


Screen Share
  • Added support for altering the zoom level for content shown via Screen Share
  • Added support for stamp, double arrow, fill and text annotations
LTI Integration
  • Improved support for sending LTI 1.3 OIDC data

Bug Fixes

Below are the high-priority bug fixes included in this release:

  • Resolved an issue where users were being logged out of the application intermittently
  • Addressed a bug where uploaded syllabus files could not be launched if they were uploaded longer than 24 hours ago
  • Addressed a bug where instructors could not make changes to the date range in Edit Class Details after initially setting Class length
  • Resolved an issue that was preventing files from being displayed with Office Viewer
  • Resolved an issue that was preventing instructor users from to joining or editing created classes from the Class Schedule

Known Issues

Breakout rooms
  • Instructor is not able to see the chat thread for a breakout room after joining and leaving it
  • Issue where the Host/Co-Host labels in the Participant list disappear when breakout rooms are launched
  • Statistics in the Zoom settings window are currently missing
Virtual backgrounds and filter
  • Currently there is no option to select a “Blur” filter for your virtual background
General use
  • Installing Class invalidates the Zoom SSO token, users navigating to their organizations domain will be required to log in again
